AC/DC show threatened by birds?
This is one of the weirdest pieces of rock news yet...AC/DC’s concert coming up May 22 in Austria is under threat – from animal rights activists! The organization, called NGO Birdlife, say that the band’s proposed show at Wels Airport will threaten the rare bird species called a Curlew. Apparantly the birds nest in the area, and the noise may scare them away from their nesting grounds, which could seriously affect the population. And they’re ready to take legal action to block the show. They want the gig rescheduled for about a month later, when the disturbance will no longer be a problem. Is anyone else seeing the conflict here? These birds nest at an AIRPORT, but they're worried that a ROCK CONCERT will affect the birds' nesting?
