Frampton's new album
Peter Frampton – the man who accidentally ruined rock with Frampton Comes Alive – is to release an autobiographical album at the end of April. The new album is called Thank You Mr. Churchill. Says Frampton: “This album starts with my birth, where I thank Mr. Churchill for bringing my father back from the Second World War.” There are 11 tracks in all, recorded at the man’s home studio in Cincinnati, where he co-produced it with Chris Kimsey – the first time the pair have worked together since 1981’s Breaking All The Rules. Among the guests on the record is Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron, who also appeared on Frampton’s last record, 2006’s Fingerprints.
