The Who’s ‘Quadrophenia’ Set To Become A Mod Ballet

The Who’s beloved 1973 rock opera, Quadrophenia, is going to be turned into a dance production later this year in the U.K. “Quadrophenia, a Mod Ballet” will make its debut in the summer of 2025. The production will be led by the creative team of choreographer Paul Roberts and director Rob Ashford, with U.K. National Dance Award-winning Paris Fitzpatrick playing the lead role of Jimmy. The ballet’s costume design will be done by iconic British designers Paul Smith and Natalie Pryce. “Quadrophenia, a Mod Ballet” will be set to an orchestral arrangement of the original album created by Rachel Fuller and Martin Batchelar. The ballet will have an official opening at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London on June 24, 2025, which follows a short U.K. preview tour in Plymouth, Edinburgh, and Southampton. (Variety)
