Nine Inch Nails Partners With Dr. Martens For ‘Downward Spiral’-Inspired Boots

Nine Inch Nails and the alternative footwear brand Dr. Martens are collaborating on a new line of special edition shoes. The new Doc Martens are inspired by artwork from NIN’s groundbreaking, 4x-platinum 1994 album, The Downward Spiral, and  commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of the record. “This collaboration just makes so much sense,” said Nine Inch Nails’ creative director, John Crawford. “Not just because of the countless fans I’ve seen wearing Dr. Martens at NIN concerts over the years (myself included), but because NIN and Dr. Martens are both known for rejecting convention and expectation in favor of innovation, with their distinctive ability to transcend genres and styles in a way that is unique to each person who experiences them.” NIN’s special edition shoes go on sale on Friday, July 19th via Dr. Martens website.
