Drumming Sensation Nandi Bushell Is Releasing A Children’s Book

Drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell has just released a children’s book based on her personal and musical journey. Bushell’s 40-page book is called, The Life-Changing Magic of Drumming: A Beginner’s Guide, and is illustrated by Andrea Stegmaier. It is filled with life lessons as well as basic drum tips and skills for kids to practice. Bushell reflects on her rise to fame, like her epic drum battle with Dave Grohl and performing with Lenny Kravitz, while also providing insight into her original song, “The Shadows,” which she wrote for her dad who was struggling with depression.

The description for Bushell’s book reads, “Find out how Nandi Bushell — the young drummer who has played with the Foo Fighters — discovered drumming when she was just five years old. She shares how she plays — from the simple drumming beats she first learned to drum rolls, fills, and backbeats — and offers insider tips and advice for young musicians around the world.” (Consequence of Sound)
