Bruce Springsteen Emphatically Dismisses Ever Doing A Farewell Tour

During Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s triumphant concert in Philadelphia on Friday night (August 23), Springsteen dismissed any suggestions that the band is no longer going to be able to tour in the future. The group is currently playing the final leg of their 2024 stadium tour, but they don’t show any signs of slowing down any time soon, and Bruce made that point crystal clear with a bold statement of endurance from the stage that night. “We’ve been around for 50 f**kin’ years, and we ain’t quitting!” Springsteen defiantly declared. “We ain’t doing no farewell tour bulls**t! No farewell tour for the E Street Band! Farewell to what? A thousand people screaming your name? Get the hell out. I ain’t going anywhere!”

Springsteen has had a rough couple of years, however. The rock legend was forced to postpone 20 shows in 2023 after suffering a peptic ulcer, while he also canceled a series of European shows earlier this summer due to vocal issues. Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2024 tour continues through November, with upcoming shows in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Asbury Park, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and more.
