Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Hospitalized With Serious Burns After Accident

On Friday (August 23), Slipknot’s DJ Sid Wilson had to be hospitalized after he “sustained burns across his body” in a horrific accident. Sid shared an Instagram video from the hospital, showing his injuries while explaining to fans what happened in the incident, “I had an explosion in my face.” Despite the severity of his injuries and the gruesome nature of the burns on his face, Wilson stayed positive, sharing a hopeful post from his hospital bed which he captioned, “Im going to be ok everyone. Love you all.”

Wilson also maintained that he would continue playing with Slipknot, whose next scheduled performance is on September 1st at the Rocklahoma festival, before the next leg of their tour starts up on September 7th in Auburn, Washington. Wilson documented his return home, where he is being cared for by his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne. Osbourne shared over the weekend, “Good morning, everyone. I just want to take a second to say thank you to everyone for sending well wishes and prayers to Sid, he’s doing so much better. In fact, we are on the way to go pick him up from the hospital right now.” (Consequence of Sound)
