Medical Emergency Forces Mayhem To Cancel North American 40th Anniversary Tour

Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem have had to cancel their fall North American 40th anniversary tour due to a medical emergency within the group. The run of shows was set to start on Tuesday (November 12) in Montreal, with the band promising to reschedule their canceled shows sometime in 2025. Mayhem shared the news in a Facebook post on Wednesday (November 6), with the band writing, “MAYHEM regrets to inform fans that the upcoming 40th anniversary performances in North America are cancelled due to a member of the band having a medical emergency that requires immediate surgery, which will result in a prolonged recovery period. Fret not, American and Canadian legion, as Mayhem will have something coming up next year that will make this up to those of you who have been disappointed by this news.” The band’s European dates scheduled for December are still going ahead as planned.
