Radiohead’s ‘Kid A’ And ‘Amnesiac’ To Be Synched With ‘Nosferatu’ Film Screenings

Two Radiohead albums will provide the soundtrack during upcoming screenings of the silent horror film Nosferatu, as Kid A and Amnesiac will be paired up with the 1922 vampire classic as part of the first installment of the Silents Synced film series. The world premiere of Silents Synced Presents Nosferatu is set to take place at Los Feliz Theater in Los Angeles on September 21st. The film and music pairing then gets a wider release throughout the United States and Canada, with 26 US states already signed on for showtimes.

“Silents Synced is a strategic format to draw new audiences to cinemas for a communal music experience like no other,” creator and CEO Josh Frank told Deadline. “The question for independent theater operators has become what can we do to inspire people to leave their homes outside of Hollywood blockbuster films? While traditional moviegoers will always be our lifeblood, music fans will go to greater lengths for a shared experience.” The next Silents Synched installment will pair R.E.M.’s music with Buster Keaton’s Sherlock, Jr., with screenings planned for early 2025.
