Mastodon And Lamb Of God Share New Metal Collaboration, “Floods of Triton”

After finishing up a co-headlining tour together, Mastodon and Lamb Of God have just shared a new studio collaboration, “Floods of Triton.” Mastodon and Lamb Of God’s recent run of shows were joint celebrations of the 20th anniversaries of their respective breakthrough albums, Leviathan and Ashes of the Wake. And to mark the success of their tour together, the metal giants recorded this fiery joint track that melds the potent musical styles of each band, with Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe handling a majority of the vocals. The track was recorded at Mastodon’s own West End Sound studio in Atlanta and was produced by Mastodon and Tyler Bates. Both Mastodon and Lamb of God are set to play Riot Fest in Chicago on September 22nd, so perhaps the two bands can join forces for a live rendition of their new song. “Floods of Triton” is available digitally and on a 12-inch picture disc vinyl through Loma Vista Recordings.
