Bon Jovi’s New Album, ‘Forever,’ Has Set An Unwanted Chart Record

Bon Jovi’s new record, Forever, was released back on June 7, and the New Jersey rock legends’ sixteenth studio album sold well enough in its first week to debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. But then, Forever disappeared completely from the charts and dropped out of the Billboard 200 entirely. Unless the album miraculously jumps back up the charts, Forever will become Bon Jovi’s only studio album to manage just one total week on the Billboard 200 in the celebrated 40-year history of the band. The group has been unable to launch a full-fledged tour to support their new album due to the ongoing vocal issues of singer Jon Bon Jovi, so they had to rely on a large-scale media campaign to help publicize the record, which included the April release of the documentary series, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.
