Nikki Sixx is blasting media for not understanding his personality.

Last week, he posted about Motley Crue’s upcoming music and wrote “People who have heard it say it’s a powerful cross between country and hip hop.” Since it wasn’t followed by a smiley face emoji, several outlets actually took him at his written word.

On Monday he posted: “Media running with a joke about new Motley Crue music just shows how they can be unprofessional and irresponsible. But they probably just saw an opportunity for clickbait to sell ads.”

He ended his post by “sarcastically” comparing Motley Crue to Bob Dylan. He has since deleted that post.
